China's styrene imports down in November14 Jan 2020 / ChemCourier. Styrene&Benzene Weekly / statistics

China reduced styrene imports by 28% month on month to around 292,800 t in November. It sourced around 70,400 t out of the total volume from Saudi Arabia, some 59,000 t from Japan, 53,800 t from Taiwan, 27,700 t from Singapore, 26,400 t from Kuwait, about 23,000 t from South Korea and 12,000 t from Indonesia. Such European countries as Spain and the Netherlands shipped 10,000 t and 4,800 t of the material, respectively, there. China also received 5,700 t of styrene from Malaysia.

The country’s eleven-month purchases from abroad went 12% up on an annualised basis to over 2.893 million t in 2019.
