On 19 February, Nizhnekamskneftekhim received new equipment for the EP-600 ethylene complex under construction. Shelters with high-precision analytical systems arrived at the site. These rather large and massive modules are designed to ensure smooth automated operation of such systems. With this delivery, supplies of heavy equipment to the complex are finished. Construction works such as the basement excavation, the pile sinking, the utility trenching, the structural steel erection and the installation of the incoming equipment are in full swing in the EP-600 complex now.
Once completed, Nizhnekamskneftekhim’s complex will be capable of making 600,000 t of ethylene, 270,000 t of propylene, 248,000 t of benzene and 89,000 t of butadiene per year. The launch of EP-600 is scheduled for 2023.
