Shipbrokers have reported that an international trader has been looking for a vessel to ship some 21,000 t of styrene from South Korea or Taiwan to the West Coast of India in H2 December. As the TAR season is coming to an end in South Korea and Taiwanese plants are operating smoothly, more goods will be available for export across Asia. Reminder: South Korea’s Lotte Chemical brought its 580,000-tpy styrene unit in Daesan back into service on 13 November and SK Chemical is due to do so with its facility on 5 December.
