Europe takes larger share of China’s growing PP exports in 2025 28 Nov 2025 / ChemCourier. Polypropylene Market Weekly / statistics

China’s PP exports during the first nine months of 2025 increased by 28%, reaching 2.3 million t compared with 1.8 million t in the same period of 2024.

Vietnam remained the largest destination, raising its imports by 39% to 395,047 t. Bangladesh ranked second, increasing its purchases from China by 60% to 170,896 t, up from 106,479 t in the first nine months of 2024. Exports to Europe also grew: Germany, Poland, Spain and Ukraine imported 11,477 t, 5,546 t, 3,153 t, and 1,960 t compared with 4,414 t, 2,734 t, 1,292 t and 43 t of Chinese PP, respectively, in the previous year.

Imports declined by 9% over the same period, falling to 2.46 million t from 2.7 million t. South Korea remained the leading supplier to China, exporting 462,513 t of PP, which is 13% lower than in the first nine months of 2024. The UAE showed a significant decrease as well, reducing its shipments from 398,401 t to 291,563 t.
